SECRETS OF THE SOUL 11 - EXISTENTIAL DILEMMA
Existential Dilemma - 11
I seek the
secrets of the soul,
From the
fragrance of the jasmine,
That I
smelt in the tresses on her head,
And as the
cool wind blew caressing,
The strands
of hair flew, obscuring my face,
She slowly
slid away, leaving me cold and stiff,
And as I
stood at the edge of the cliff,
Looking
down at the chasm below,
“To be or
not to be” as Hamlet strode,
Up and down
in existential dilemma,
I retraced
my steps and walked away,
May be
there shall come another day.

Lovely lines. Reminds me of the dialogue in an old Tamil movie, "Thiruvalaiyadal" - 'Pengalil koondalil Iyarkai manam Undo?'
Another day is not like this day
And you will seek the secret all over again!
I think Life is a set of undulating experiences and each leaves us richer. So let's enjoy the fragrance when it is available which would warm our soul even after it leaves. Otherwise our self would be locked up in the cold dungeons of our rational thought with no chances of escape.
